DIRECTOR OF COMPETITION POSITION IS NOW VACANT...
Please note that Colleen Harrison will not be undertaking the role and as such the above Management Committee position is now vacant. Would all competitive active members, please think about standing for this position to ensure a successful competition year. Listed below is the Position Description for this position:
The DIRECTOR OF SURF SPORTS shall:
a) Chair the Selection Committee where needed
b) Be responsible for Club Training Activities and liaise with coaching staff.
c) Be responsible for the scheduling, execution and keeping of accurate records for competition events.
d) Submit all documents required by Surf Life Saving; Branch/State/Australia.
e) Coordinate for the scheduling, execution and keeping of accurate records for all Club events.
f) Shall submit an annual report at the termination of each season.
g) Positively support the policies, culture, operation and management of the Club and SLSA
h) Coordinate Opens and Masters entries for Branch, State and National Titles.
The Senior Assistant Competition Manager:
a) Shall be responsible for the scheduling, execution and keeping of accurate records for all Training Activities of Seniors.
b) Shall be the club liaison officer with all contactors/ trainers.
c) Does not have any authority to negotiate any contract variances unless by written authority by the Executive Committee.
d) Will support the Competition Manager with all his/her duties and will and in the absences of the Competition Manager shall exercise that officers duties.
e) Shall submit an annual report at the termination of each season to the Competition Manager.
COMPETITIVE REQUIREMENTS:-
The club requires TWO WEEKS NOTICE of your intent to compete, this enables time to finalise carnival fees and entry forms.
THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO ENTER A CARNIVAL:
- Ring the Director of Surf Sports at least two weeks prior to the carnival.
- Check the noticeboard reguarly for a competition sheet and to add your details for entry.
